PS5 Pro Design Announcement
The absence of disc drives is one feature that can be a deal breaker. Or, at least, for whatever version the sources may have obtained. According to the sources, the PS5 Pro is exclusively available digitally. They added that it would be challenging to integrate the disk version of the system with the design they saw. This is a lot like the PS5 Slim, and Sony may decide to make it digital-only in order to remain competitive in the market.
Fortunately, the upcoming PS5 system won’t have a different controller. You can proceed if you are using a Dualsense controller. The identical controller is reportedly included in the PS5 Pro box as well. According to billbil-kun, Sony is expected to reveal the PS5 Pro sometime in September 2024. Plans could, however, alter at Sony’s discretion.
The fact that the PS5 Pro is exclusively available digitally may seem worrisome in light of recent price tag leaks. Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb recently hinted that the new PS5 would cost as much as $700 or even $600. Given the entire sales of the PS5, it is still anticipated that Sony may place it in a desirable limit.
